Cockroaches are intruders that infiltrate homes and businesses through Small openings, drain pipes, and even by hitching a ride on you. They are highly resilient and reproduce rapidly. They thrive in unsanitary conditions and spread germs and bacteria through their legs. Once they establish an infestation, over-the-counter solutions are usually ineffective. In Singapore, there are three types of cockroaches that are most commonly seen: American cockroaches, German cockroaches, and Brown-banded cockroaches.
German cockroach
The German cockroach (Blattellagermanica) is the most common species of cockroach found in houses, apartments, and restaurants worldwide. They are notorious for being resilient and difficult to eliminate. It is a species of small cockroach, typically about 1.1 to 1.6 cm (0.43 to 0.63 in) long. In color, it varies from tan to almost black, and it has two dark, roughly parallel streaks on the pronotum running anteroposteriorly from behind the head to the base of the wings.
American cockroach
The American cockroach (Periplanetaamericana) is the largest species of cockroach routinely found in homes, and often considered a pest. In certain regions of the U.S., it is colloquially known as the water bug, though it is not a true water bug since it is not aquatic, nor a Helipterum. It is also known as the ship cockroach, kakerlac, and Bombay canary. It is often misidentified as a palmetto bug.
Despite their name, American cockroaches are native to Africa and the Middle East. They are believed to have been introduced to the Americas only from the 17th century onward as a result of human commercial patterns,[2] including the Atlantic slave trade.

Brown-banded cockroach
The brown-banded cockroach (Supellalongipalpa) is a species of small cockroach, measuring about 10 to 14 mm long, and is the most well-known in the genus Supella. It is tan to light brown and has two light-colored bands across the wings and abdomen, which may sometimes appear to be broken or irregular but are quite noticeable. The bands may be partly obscured by the wings. The male has wings that cover the abdomen, while the female has wings that do not cover the abdomen completely. The male appears more slender than the female; the female appears wider.

Gel Baiting Treatment: Treatment Method (30 Days Residue Effect): We used NEA-approved pesticides that can only be applied by licensed pest control professionals. The treatment included the following methods:
Residual pesticide spray – Applied around the perimeter and bin chute areas to provide long-lasting protection.
Baiting gel – Gel baiting is a highly effective, odorless pest control method for ants and cockroaches, using specialized,, slow-acting gel baits applied in small, precise doses to cracks, crevices, and hiding spots. Pests consume the bait, return to the nest, and die, creating a chain reaction that kills the entire colony.
Bait stations – Installed inside basin cabinets, storerooms, and toilets for targeted cockroach control.
Aerosol treatment – Used to eliminate adult cockroaches on contact.
Monitoring station traps – Deployed to track pest activity and assess the effectiveness of the treatment.
Pestopia utilizes scientifically formulated gel baits specifically designed to target the biology and behavior of cockroaches. These baits are highly effective for long-term cockroach control. Small gel dots are strategically placed in cracks and crevices, areas that are inaccessible to small children and pets. The baits are replenished regularly and consumed by the cockroaches, which then return to the area where cockroaches cluster, allowing us to address the source of the infestation. It is normal to see a number of dead cockroaches around your home during the process, whichindicates that the gel bait is working effectively.
